Tad Laird's E30 M3

Comments by Tad Laird:
"The set up uses a KRC power steering pump ($230). These are used by Nascar and other "Stock Car" type racers. The power steering fluid resevoir is a off the shelf type found at Summit or Pegasus. Both carry a variety and this one required no additional modification ($60). Bracket ran $12. Goodridge hoses and AN fittings (~$90). The 90 degree fittings were expensive. Oil cooler (swedish make)with mounting another $75. The fabrication for the power steering pump bracket ran up my cost. I had it CNC'd machined out of steel for strength. Needless to say I bore the cost for the prototype. Adjustment is by using a heim joint set up. Gates 7350 v-belt was a whopping $9. If your interested in something similar the shop kept a template and they can make more. They can also sell you the pump, resevoir, and cooler. They would have take mine apart to make a hose set. You can reach them through www.ccfuelinjection.com and contact Dave Capurro. The mounting of my cooler may be different from other set up's as I have removed my air conditioning set up and electric fan. This would necessitate a change in the hoses and cooler placement on some cars. I may reinstall the fan later using the evo mounts or trade out to a aftermarket set up."
