Here the cage punches through the firewall to the passenger
side strut tower. One bar comes from near the top of the dash
and the other comes up from the baseplate at the passenger side
footwell that we saw in an earlier picture.
If I were Matter, I might have added some type of baseplate to the strut tower before tying in the cage - to help distribute the stresses a bit. Note the seam welding on the strut tower though. |
